Local Charity Fights Student Food Insecurity

A local charity is asking the community to help them help those in need.  Food for Thought is a local charity serving students who are dependent on reduced or free school meals.  They serve over 3,000 students every week in Walton and Okaloosa counties. Their goal is to remove the negative impact of hunger and allow children to focus on education by providing healthy and easily prepared food.  You can help by sponsoring a student, sponsoring a school, making a donation, volunteering, or attending an event benefiting the charity.   Food For Thought has pantry locations in Destin, Florida and Santa Rosa Beach, Florida.
